Hyderabad, May 15th: With the complaint lodged by “Response Foundation”, a city based voluntary organization about the nasty decision taken by the Eamcet officials in disallowing students to write Eamcet exam if they are late by a minute, the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will convene a meeting with JNTU Hyderabad soon.
Kakinada, May 14th: The Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet)-2009 held peacefully at 42 centers in the region on Thursday. According to the Eamcet-2009 regional coordinator and JNTU principal, E.V Prasad, 14,411 candidates appeared for the engineering stream out of the registered figure of 14,888 and 2,416 appeared for medicine out of 2,593 registered candidates.
Kakinada, May 13th: Students of Aditya IIT Talent School, Kakinada excelled in CEEP (Common Entrance Exam for Admission to Polytechnic) results that were declared on Wednesday. Mr. M.S.R.K Teja bagged first rank by scoring 116 out of 120 marks. Along with the first rank the school bagged 25 ranks below hundred. The second rank went to two students, Ms Ganta Ramyasree, and Mr. Payila Satya Raghava Aneesh both securing 113 marks each. Both are from West Godavari district.
Kakinada, May 12th: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the smooth conduct of Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamce-2009) in the Kakinada region on May 14. The authorities have set up 46 centers in the region for both engineering and medical streams. Out of which 36 are set for engineering and 6 centers are set for medical streams.
Kakinada, May 12th: East Godavari district education authorities are making elaborate arrangements for distribution of textbooks from May 14 in the district. Under this program in total 4,249 schools under government, municipal, zilla parishat and aided schools will be covered. To cater to the needs of students from class I to X district nearly requires 40, 32,425 notebooks.
Rajahmudry, May 11th: To tackle the problem of dropouts and help retention, the tribal welfare authorities have planned to coach students in summer vacation. The authorities are conducting special summer coaching camps in the regency of Rampachodavaram in East Godavari to help tribal in improving their academic performance. These camps are in progress and will continue till May 30.
Kakinada, May 10th: With the association of Student Federation of India (S.F.I) and United Teachers Federation (U.T.F), the district authorities are going to organize free spoken English classes from May 14. According to the Kakinada town secretary, P. Anantharaju, the classes will be organized till June 12 and interested candidates can enroll their name at local UTF Home.
Hyderabad, May 7th: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is likely to change its syllabus from the forthcoming academic year. This is to enhance the employability of its students in times of recession. Earlier there were number of jobs in IT sector but with recession, there is need for freshers with strong competence in core engineering subjects.
